Welcome!
I'm David Reingold and I am a queer lighting designer (IATSE USA 829) and dancer based in Atlanta. I love all forms of live storytelling, and I have a real passion for new plays and choreography... especially if they are queer or absurd or socially charged in some way. I have also been lucky enough to be involved in several productions as a deviser/co-writer -- check out the "Devising" page for more on that.
I am currently the resident lighting designer at the Center for Puppetry Arts in Atlanta (the largest puppetry theater in the US!) where I upkeep the designs for shows from throughout the Center's history in addition to working on new productions. Most recently you may have seen my work around Atlanta with companies including Theatrical Outfit, Actor's Express, Out Front Theatre, True Colors Theatre, and Atlanta Contemporary Dance Company among others. I am always excited about new projects so don't hesitate to reach out!
As a dancer, I perform with the Rhythm Keepers Tap Company in Decatur and you can catch our performance "Let's Tap" every year in March. When I'm not in the theater I can often be found noodling on the clarinet, writing short stories and plays, or exploring underground passageways in the classic roleplaying game Dungeons & Dragons.
